So, you recently picked up a Naipo Shiatsu Pillow Massager and now you’re wondering how to get the most out of your new massage machine? Here are some quick and clean tips to make your experience with your pillow massager as pleasant and efficient as possible.
1. To Shirt Or Not to Shirt?
Of course, this is assuming that you’re using your massager in the comfort of your own home, but it is still a valid concern. I personally prefer to use the Naipo Shiatsu Pillow Massager without wearing a shirt. The massage nodes have a soft, breathable fabric cover and are made to use enough pressure so that they can gently massage your back without causing any pain. I like to ditch the shirt just like I would with a real massage!
Now, if you do decide to bring the pillow massager on a car ride where you are a passenger and you must have a shirt on, we would recommend using a light, breathable fabric and turning off the heating function. The reason we suggest these two things is because if you do use the heating function and wear too many clothes on, then you’re liable to possibly feel uncomfortably hot which might take away from how relaxing a massage is supposed to be.
2. Lean Back And Relax
This is part of relaxing into the massage but try to lean back and let the massaging nodes do their work. This has the added benefit of taking stress off of your lower back, especially if you are massaging your upper back. Lean into the massage and adjust the straps so that the massager is firmly braced on your back. This Wiki has some helpful tips of relaxing into your massage if you’d like to go deeper into that topic.
3. Adjust Often
Just like with a real massage, monotony is uncomfortable. Imagine if your masseur massaged only one part of your body the entire time. You’d probably go insane, right? Well, the same rules apply to our massager. Feel free to move it up and down the length of your back as you work out all the kinks! I, personally, enjoy starting from my upper back and moving down. I try to spend the bulk of the time massaging my lower back since I have a sedentary job. and sometimes get tightness and stiffness in my lower back.
4. Massage With No Distractions
This one is a bit unintuitive so I want to go into it a bit. Think back to some of the massages you’ve gotten from your therapists: were you distracted? Were you typing away on your phone or computer? Probably not. You should try to mimic this same set up when you use your Naipo Massager. So, lean back on the couch, turn off the lights and let the massager drain the tension from you achy muscles!
